Stephanie Hinson is an artist, singer, fashion designer and activist. In 2009, as a Parsons graduate, Hinson began designing custom dresses for friends. Her body of works include RTW collections, designing commissions for numerous indie bands such as the Vivian Girls, Coasting, Ian Svenonius, and Chain & the Gang as well as DIY performance artists and personal clients. Her most current series of work will be showcased at MOMA in NYC, February 22nd, 2018 at the Club 57 exhibit with the band, PILL.
Although she makes her home in Brooklyn, she continues to mine inspiration from her southern childhood during which her time was spent poring over fashion and music magazines, making clothes for her dolls, stumbling around in nature, and losing herself in the solitary silence of bird-watching.
